100,000 Yen Donated To A City Hall By Flame Hashira ‘Kyojuro Rengoku’
The most common trait among the Demon Slayer characters is the vast amount of kindness in their hearts. And, it has been represented very well throughout the anime television series. But, sometimes these small things bring a big change in other people’s lives as well.
On Saturday, a similar incident took place in Saitama prefecture of Tokyo where an unidentified person displayed an act of kindness after getting inspired by one of the Demon Slayer characters.
According to the local media reports, on a normal day, the staff of the Fujimi City Hall found an envelope containing 100,000 yen (US $866) in the municipal building’s comment box. On the outside of the envelope, the patron wrote, “Please use it for the good of the people.”
After further investigation, the staff was unable to find the person behind such a good deed. The only name written on the back of the envelope was of Kyojuro Rengoku who is a well-known anime character from the popular series “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba”.
Rengoku was featured prominently in the blockbuster movie edition of Demon Slayer: Mugen Train where he played the supporting role along with the main cast of Tanjiro, Inosuke and Zenitsu. The fans loved him for his charismatic aura and a supportive big-brother like personality.
The City of Fujimi is planning to use this money for social welfare projects, including support for the elderly and disabled people. The person in charge of the City Hall said, “I received a warm donation. I want to make good use of it for welfare.”
However, this is not the first time something like this had happened. Last year, during the crisis of COVID-19, another mysterious benefactor donated a total of 100 masks to a nursing school under the name of “Inosuke Hashibira.”
