Jujutsu Kaisen Wins Most Popular TV Show Award Of 2023
Jujutsu Kaisen has garnered widespread acclaim since its debut and has been winning in all categories, be it anime or manga. The series added another achievement to its tally by clinching the prestigious title of “Most Popular TV Show Award”, reaffirming its status as a global phenomenon.
The anime, based on Gege Akutami’s supernatural manga series, bagged the title of a most in-demand TV show in the 6th annual Global TV Demand Awards. According to Parrot Analytics, Jujutsu Kaisen was the World’s Choice TV show in 2023 in addition to being the most in-demand anime series of the year.
In the lineup for the Most In-Demand TV Show in the World 2023, Jujutsu Kaisen outshined renowned shows like “One Piece”, “Attack on Titan”, “The Last of Us”, and the Star Wars franchise, “The Mandalorian”, which shows the global appeal and long-term viability of the anime format.
After “Attack on Titan”, which won this award for the year 2021, Jujutsu Kaisen became only the second anime to earn the Global TV Demand Award in the most popular television show category. However, Jujutsu Kaisen wasn’t the only TV show recognized in the 2023 streaming report as Dragon Ball Z received the most in-demand legacy series award.
The Global TV Demand Awards is the world’s first unbiased, data-driven TV award show as the winners are determined by the audience demand around the world with no involvement of judges and voting committees. The data is collected from all over the world based on user actions on multiple streaming platforms and social media.
The winners for each category were decided based on Parrot Analytics’ global TV demand data collected from January 1, 2023 to Dec 31, 2023. The results show the rise of Jujutsu Kaisen in the global market and with the amount of worldwide recognition the series is getting, it’s destined to grow more and more in the coming time.
