Ninja Kamui Overtakes Solo Leveling In IMDb Rankings
2024 so far has been a decent year for anime enthusiasts, especially the Solo Leveling fans who are quite happy with the adaptation and are enjoying their favorite series. Everyone is talking only about the hit webtoon, but there’s one rival show that has created more hype than the Solo Leveling anime on the IMDb charts.
The series in question is, “Ninja Kamui” which is an anime original by the director of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 1. According to the latest IMDb rankings update, Ninja Kamui now ranks higher on the list of “Top 100 Most Popular TV Shows” in the world as compared to its counterpart series.
While Solo Leveling anime sits at the 95th place on the list, Ninja Kamui is placed 81st with an 8.7 rating on IMDb. Having released only 3 episodes so far, the series has not only overtaken Solo Leveling, but also left behind shows like “Attack on Titan”, “One Piece”, “You”, “The Witch”, “Bridgerton”, and “Seinfeld”.
Adult Swim’s “Ninja Kamui” is an original Japanese anime television series produced by E&H Production. Being praised for its smooth transitions and fast-paced action sequences, the series is directed by Sunghoo Park who has previously worked on “God of High School” and “Jujutsu Kaisen”.
Ninja Kamui follows the story of Higan, a former ninja, who escaped his clan and is now hiding from his violent past in rural America with his sweet family. However, one night, he is ambushed by a team of assassins who exact a bloody retribution on Higan and his family for betraying their ancient code.
Rising from his seeming “death,” Higan re-emerges as his former self to avenge his family. Pitting his ancient skills against high-tech weaponry with brutal finesse, Higan sets off to dispatch every single person from the face of the Earth who killed his family and bring down the very clan that made him.
