Demon Slayer Hashira Training Movie US Box Office Collection
Following the successful run in Japan, the blockbuster hit Demon Slayer Hashira Training movie is now in North American theatres. The film opened domestically across IMAX and premium large formats (PLFs), debuting #2 at the U.S. box office and raking in $11.57 million on its opening weekend.
Titled “Demon Slayer: To the Hashira Training”, it is the third feature film of the franchise. The film was released theatrically in North America on February 23 and recorded US$1.8 million on opening day. It went on to cumulate another $10 million, closing the first weekend’s box-office tally on a high note.
So far, the Demon Slayer Hashira Training movie has grossed over US$41.7 million worldwide with North America being the major contributor to its box office collection. Notably, the new Demon Slayer film outshined “One Piece Film Red” which generated close to US$9.48 million on its opening weekend in the United States.
Aniplex America, Crunchyroll, and Sony Pictures Entertainment are bringing the Demon Slayer Hashira Training movie to worldwide theatres. The movie acts as a compilation film, incorporating footage from the final episode of the third season and the hour-long premiere episode from “Hashira Training Arc” which is set to broadcast in Spring 2024.
“Demon Slayer – To the Hashira Training” features the conclusion of the fierce battle between Tanjiro and Upper Four demon Hantengu, followed by Episode 1 of the much-awaited Hashira Training Arc which kicks off the ultimate training conducted by the Hashiras in preparation for the forthcoming final battle against Muzan Kibutsuji.
