MAPPA Opening A New Studio! Fans Speculate It Is For Attack On Titan Part 3
The dominance of Studio MAPPA in the Japanese anime industry is increasing day by day. The way it is progressing is very shocking for many business personnel and the fans as well, as the studio is holding some big projects like Attack On Titan, Chainsaw Man, Jujutsu Kaisen and Hell’s Paradise.
Adding more to its remarkable success in the past two years, the production of MAPPA is all set to establish a new studio in Osaka City of Japan. On Tuesday, the officials delivered this message to the fans and have already listed down the career opportunities for the Osaka studio. Check out the official tweet below.
The Osaka studio is intended to specialize in one of the most controversial animation graphics, CGI (Computer Generated Imagery). The CGI department is subdivided into six teams: 3DCG, background, finishing, photography, editing, and design. All the details are listed on the official website of MAPPA.
The reason behind opening a studio in Osaka City is that it is easily accessible from neighboring prefectures. Moreover, creators and students living in Kansai can use this golden opportunity to fulfill their dreams in the animation industry without leaving their hometown.
Also, many fans are speculating that the new studio is established because of the possible Attack On Titan movie which can be made by this specific studio. Till now, Attack On Titan Final Season has covered a total of 128 chapters out of 139 and there are only 4 episodes left in the season finale.
Additionally, only one & a half chapters are covered in a single episode of Attack On Titan so, it might be difficult to cover the entire story in just 4 episodes especially when the next few chapters are very crucial from the story point of view. So, maybe the new CGI based studio is an indication of the fact that the Attack On Titan movie is on its way
However, the installation location for the studio will be decided by 2022 and preparations for opening will be made afterwards. Other than that Yusuke Tannawa is appointed as the Director and General Manager of the CGI Department. The rest of the staff members will be recruited very soon.
