The manga industry of Japan is very big and consists of more than 500+ different categories of series. According to 2020 reports, the market value of the manga industry was estimated to be around 612 billion yen. However, in such a diversity sometimes it becomes difficult to choose the best manga story out there.

But, this should not be a problem anymore as a new survey has uplifted the truth from the fact that “Which is the best manga of all time?” Recently, a mega poll was conducted in Japan in which the fans picked the stories they rank top. Some of the rankings might surprise you!

Out of the 150,000 votes received in the survey, more than 33,000 people mentioned One Piece as their top pick and ranked it first on the list. As for the second place, the spot went to the modern era series by Koyoharu Gotouge “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba”. The series nicked in a fair enough total of around 29,000 votes.

Third place went to the sports-based manga series, Slam Dunk and it looks like the basketball-inspired series is still popular in the Japanese community. Detective Conan or Case Closed secured fourth place followed by Dragon Ball and Attack on Titan at fifth and sixth position respectively.

Masashi Kishimoto’s popular creation, Naruto ended in seventh place with Haikyuu next in line. And as for the last two spots, Fullmetal Alchemist and JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure filled that with their presence in the top 10 manga of all time. Below is the list of the survey results:

The survey was conducted by Japanese company TV Asahi as the network polled fans last year about the best manga of all time. In the survey, more than 150,000 people answered the question and stated their favorite manga series of all time.
