Top 10 Most Powerful Breathing Styles In Demon Slayer Ranked
The main weapon of a Demon Slayer, despite the magical Nichirin blades, is their unique “Breathing Styles”. Every member of the Demon Slayer Corps learns to wield their blades by going through one of the 14 known Breathing Styles but, how is it decided? And, are there any most supreme breathing styles in Demon Slayer?
“Breathing Styles” can be defined as the swordsmanship styles which are taught to the members of the Demon Slayer Corps. New Breathing Styles are always being created to suit a Demon Slayer’s combat needs and the members can choose the specific one according to their own compatibility. But, have you ever wondered, which is the most powerful breathing style?
Good news, as in this article we’ve covered up this topic and tried to rank the different Breathing Styles according to strength, techniques, and versatility. And, number one on the list is the Sun Breathing which is the supreme of all the known Breathing Styles ever existed.
All the other Breath styles have been derived from Sun Breathing, and its creator was none other than the first Demon Slayer, Yoriichi Tsugikuni. The second rank goes to the Moon Breathing whose only known user is the ‘Upper Rank 1’ Kokushibo. This special style consists of 16 different breathing forms which are the highest in the series.
Below is the list of all the Breathing Styles in the Demon Slayer series ranked:
#1 Sun Breathing (13 Forms)
#2 Moon Breathing (16 Forms)
#3 Flame Breathing (9 Forms)
#4 Stone Breathing (5 Forms)
#5 Wind Breathing (9 Forms)
#6 Water Breathing (11 Forms)
#7 Mist Breathing (7 Forms)
#8 Beast Breathing (11 Forms)
#9 Sound Breathing (5 Forms)
#10 Thunder Breathing (7 Forms)
Other than these, there are four more Breathing Styles (Flower Breathing, Love Breathing, Insect Breathing, Serpent Breathing) that didn’t make it to the list. Of course, there would be more Breathing Styles in the realm of Demon Slayer, but a list of known ones includes only those 14 that have been revealed in the original manga.
