The author continues to wow fans with intricate and beautifully illustrated manga chapters. Garou is radiating a God-like aura allowing him to make nuclear explosions and gamma bursts. Saitama is angry and the cliffhanger ending of the last chapter has made fans curious about the next chapter.
The previous chapter of One Punch Man was totally mind-blowing as Garou’s cosmic power was sufficient enough to faint the weaklings. S-Class heroes tried to stop Garou but he didn’t intend to and ended up killing the beloved disciple of Saitama, Genos. One Punch Man Chapter 166 Recap
In chapter 166 of One Punch man, Garou unleashed his nuclear strike and was seen moving toward Earth with his great God Powers. His power has now grown to the point that just being around humans will be enough to end them. S-Class rank 1 hero, Blast and Silver Fang tried to confront Garou but later on, were both interrupted by the sudden entry of Genos.
With what little hope he still had, Genos tries to kill Garou but is unsuccessful. As the chapter unfolds, Garou makes the bold assertion that he is the “Symbol of Fear,” and seizes the opportunity by taking out Genos. He pulls his core out and intends to destroy him right there, in order to unleash Saitama’s total power.
Saitama arrives just in time to witness the end of his disciple and closest friend and, for the very first time in the manga, he gets serious. Now, it’s unclear whether the demon cyborg is dead or alive. And, in the next chapter fans will witness one of the biggest fights in manga history.
One Punch Man Chapter 167 Summary
Blast warps Saitama and Garou away from Earth but can’t manage to get them far enough away due to the sheer amount of energy he needs to handle. His allies show up and assist him in redirecting the energy which in return sends Garou and Saitama flying to one of Jupiter’s moons, crashlanding there. Just before that, a giant spine can be seen on the moon, maybe it’s God’s physical location.
Saitama comments that letting loose on someone robust might be good for him. They continue their fight, Garou tries everything combining every technique he has learned and copied but Saitama just seems to defy logic, anticipating his portal attacks and even physically manipulating them as if they were solids. Saitama tells Garou to come at him with his fists as he’s bored with the cheap parlor tricks (referring to the portals and such).
Garou responds by saying that all those things put together are his fist. Saitama unleashes a couple of new attacks, the ‘Omnidirectional Serious Punch’ and the ‘Serious Tableflip’. The tableflip is so intense that Garou momentarily loses sense of direction, eventually crashing head first into the ground. It ends with the two of them exchanging blows again. Garou’s strategy seems to be simple: just keep copying and exchanging blows, which is what happens on the last page.
When Does One Punch Man Chapter 167 Come Out?
One Punch Man manga by ONE and Yusuke Murata is published in Shueisha’s Tonori no Young Magazine which releases its new issue every Saturday. However, unlike other manga series, One Punch Man does not stick to a release schedule, which is quite odd since most of the manga release either on a weekly or on a monthly basis. But, for OPM the schedule is random and the author is allowed to publish the chapter whenever he wishes.
Despite having so much freedom, Murata isn’t a lazy author and works like a maniac. In most cases, the new chapters are released either on the first Saturday of the month or the last one. This time One Punch Man Chapter 167 is scheduled to release on July 7th, 2022 at 12:00 AM (JST). The release date can vary for some international readers due to differences in time zone but, it will be either the previous day or the next day of its initial release.
