My Hero Academia Prequel Story Is Getting An Anime Adaptation
My Hero Academia is a globally recognized series, thanks to its superhero trope that has amassed a cult following in the past couple of years. While the franchise is in itself a big name in the anime and manga industry, there’s a prequel story titled “My Hero Academia Vigilantes” that’s in headlines for its speculated anime adaptation.
Critically acclaimed to be a better version of the original series, My Hero Academia Vigilantes is reportedly receiving an anime adaptation as per reliable sources. The animation studio behind the production and release date is still under wraps but the news has been well-received by the fans of the series.
My Hero Academia Vigilantes Story
Vigilantes serves as a prequel and spin-off to the original “My Hero Academia” and takes place in the same universe but several years earlier. The series follows Koichi Haimawari, a young man who despite not being a licensed hero, uses his Quirk to help others.
However, after a sudden encounter with a group of thugs, he’s rescued by a vigilante named Knuckleduster. He recruits Koichi and decides to make him a vigilante just like himself! The manga is originally written by Hideyuki Furuhashi, and illustrated by Betten Court.
Is Vigilantes Manga Different From My Hero Academia?
For the most part, Vigilantes manga is a side story of a different protagonist however, some of the events occurring within the vigilantes’ line of duties have ties to the main series. Many key characters, including All Might and Aizawa, have been featured in the series which ultimately gives it a better edge to be made into an anime.
As of writing this article, there’s no official statement from the makers regarding the My Academia Vigilantes anime adaptation however, an announcement is expected soon. While the fans await the good news, it’s sure that the anime will be a hit with fans of the main series as well.
