No Game No Life was one of the best isekai anime of its time. Airing in 2014, the series quickly gained a dedicated fanbase due to its comical and thrilling game-like setting. However, despite its early success, the show was never renewed for another season. Now, after 10 years of waiting, it seems like it will never happen.
Through X/Twitter, Yuu Kamiya, the author of the original light novels, recently posted a tweet addressing the future of the anime series. In his message, the author dismissed all speculation regarding the much-anticipated No Game No Life Season 2.
Following a wave of rumors about a second season allegedly being produced by Studio Madhouse and repeated questions from fans, Yuu Kamiya took to social media to clear the air, stating, “They are all fake. I would appreciate it if you don’t contact me about them”.
Previously, on the 10th anniversary of the anime adaptation, Kamiya had expressed his desire for a second season. However, with this recent message, all hope for a sequel has been extinguished, making it official that No Game No Life Season 2 remains a mere pipedream for fans.
