Chainsaw Man Author’s Another Popular Manga Is Getting An Anime
Tatsuki Fujimoto is one of the prominent figures in the world of manga and his works, including the globally recognized “Chainsaw Man”, have left a lasting impact on the reader’s mind. The good thing is, after the success of his magnum opus another popular manga of his is also getting an anime adaptation.
The manga in question is Fujimoto’s award-winning one-shot “Look Back” which will reportedly receive an anime television series in the coming days. The confirmation comes from an X (formerly Twitter) account which states that recently a web domain registration for the series took place.
Judging from the hints, a Look Back anime seems to be possible in the near future however, there’s no official announcement as of yet. A Chainsaw Man movie is still under the line at Studio MAPPA and Fujimoto is currently busy with it so it’ll be too early to say when the official updates will resurface.
Tatsuki Fujimoto’s one-shot Look Back is a provocative exploration of the creative process, the importance of friendship, and the challenges of growing up. The story follows Ayumu and Kyomoto, two teen girls competing and inspiring each other on their ways to become manga artists.
However, they eventually drift apart after Ayumu starts getting jealous and insecure about Kyomoto’s knack for drawing manga. Years later, Ayumu runs into Kyomoto again, and they look back on their artistic journey while talking about their abridged friendship. The manga is available to read on the Shonen Jump+ app.
