China Censored Demon Slayer Season 2 Shots Featuring Daki & Uzui’s Wives
Demon Slayer anime series is very popular in almost every country. Fans from all over the world are huge admirers of this show however, with the premiere of its second season it has captivated a lot of controversies as well. And, in a recent one, China censored the newly released ‘Entertainment District Arc’.
In a recent post on Reddit, a user shared some images from the Demon Slayer Season 2. The user claimed in the post that the pictures have been taken from an episode aired in China that got censored because of revealing body parts of Daki & Uzui’s wives. Check out the images below.
As seen in the pictures, the distributors of the Demon Slayer franchise in China decided to censor bold scenes from the series to avoid any kind of backlash from the government officials and the viewers. However, this is not the first time China has done something like this.
China is well-known for its biased policies against popular anime series. Several anime shows are totally banned in the country which includes Tokyo Ghoul, Attack On Titan and Death Note. A dozen of series are already censored heavily, and this is just an extent of it.
However, many fans liked the censorship on ‘Entertainment District Arc’ and appreciated the move by the Chinese distributors. One user wrote, “It’s not like they’re censoring important information, so I don’t think this censorship is really all that bad”.
Besides all this stuff, Demon Slayer Season 3 has already been announced by the production and the new season will cover the ‘Swordsmith Village Arc’ from the original manga series written & illustrated by Koyoharu Gotouge. On April 16, fans might receive some information related to Season 3 as the anime series will celebrate its third anniversary.
