Crunchyroll Anime Awards 2022 Winners List: Attack On Titan Won The Anime Of The Year Award
The sixth annual Crunchyroll Anime Awards winners have been announced and Attack On Titan has grabbed the anime of the year award. Demon Slayer leads with the most wins in the Crunchyroll Anime Awards 2022.
2021 was an especially good year for the medium with the debut of several critically-acclaimed original series alongside several popular shows. Just like every year, the fans cast votes for this year as well. Millions of fans voted on the official website of Crunchyroll from Jan 18 – Jan 25.
Overall, 39 different series were nominated across 20 categories. This year’s awards included the Best Film, Best Action Series, and Best Romance Series categories as well. And, Attack On Titan turned out to be the award stealer of the event with the ‘Anime of The Year’ title in its name.
Attack on Titan The Final Season was nominated in nine different categories and ultimately took home four awards. Demon Slayer won three awards and additional four-voice acting awards for the largest number of overall wins. The blockbuster film Demon Slayer The Movie: Mugen Train won Best Film.
Anime series Odd Taxi and Wonder Egg Priority lead in total nominations with 11 each, but they didn’t guarantee the most wins. Surprisingly, Wonder Egg Priority was shut out completely while Odd Taxi claimed two wins. Last year’s top winner, Jujutsu Kaisen also didn’t go home empty-handed, winning Best Action, Best Fight and several other awards.
