In the latest edition of the anime television series, Demon Slayer: Entertainment District Arc, the ‘Sound Hashira’ Tengen Uzui played an important role in it. Fans loved him because of his flamboyant personality and for wielding dual Nichirin blades. But, do you know how much it costs for Tengen’s blades?

Bandai Corporation Limited, one of Japan’s top toymaker companies, developed a real-life sized replica of Tengen Uzui’s dual Nichirin blades as part of its Proplica series. The handles of the swords are wrapped in diamond-patterned cloth and are inscribed with the words “Destroyer of Demons”.

Coming straight from the collectibles manufacturer Tamashii Nations, a division of Bandai, the swords are sold as a pair of 44-inch (111 cm) blades that are connected with a chain, which adds another 70 cm to their total length.

The accurately modelled orange and black tinted blades are also equipped with some electronic components that play sound effects and a selection of the Sound Hashira’s most iconic lines from the anime series. Moreover, it can also play the TV version of “Zankyo Sanka,” the opening theme song of Demon Slayer Season 2.

The unique swords of Uzui Tengen are currently available for pre-order on the official premium web store of Bandai with a price tag of 26,400 yen (about US $230). In addition to it, Bandai released a 1-minute long video on its official YouTube account. Check out the clip below.

The Sound Hashira is the fourth member of the Demon Slayer Corps whose swords have been replicated. In 2021, Tamashii Nations also produced replicas of Tanjiro’s unique Black Katana, Zenitsu’s lightning-banded blade, Inosuke’s dual serrated swords, and the ‘Flame Hashira’ Kyojuro Rengoku’s unique Nichirin blade.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba is one of the most popular anime & manga series with over 150 million manga copies in circulation. The show recently concluded its second season of the anime and is all set to release the third season titled “Demon Slayer: Swordsmith Village Arc”. Both its seasons are available to stream on Netflix, Crunchyroll and Funimation.
