Demon Slayer Studio ‘Ufotable’ Announced Its New Anime Movie
Ufotable is a well-established animation production company known for its unmatchable work in popular anime franchises like Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba and Fate series. And, just in the studio has announced its another future project that will be an anime film adaptation.
A visual novel PC game called “Mahōtsukai no Yoru: Witch on the Holy Night” is set to receive an anime film adaptation by Studio Ufotable. The game is developed by Type-Moon who is also responsible for the making of Fate series games.
Kinoko Nasu has penned the scenario for the game meanwhile, Hirokazu Koyama created the graphics for the game. The game was released globally in April 2012 on the Windows platform. In addition, Ufotable released a key visual and a teaser related to the film. Check out the teaser below.
Ufotable hasn’t announced any release date for the anime film and the cast & production staff is yet to be decided. The gameplay follows a linear plot line that requires no player interaction as the game’s duration is spent on observing the images and reading the text that appears on the screen, which represents the story’s narrative and dialogue.
Synopsis
The film is set in the late 1980s in Misaki town where an old mansion is rumored to be the home of a witch. After moving into the mansion, Aoko Aozaki begins to learn sorcery from a young mage, Alice Kuonji, the rumored witch of the mansion.
After several mysterious intruders begin to disrupt the bounded field in Misaki, Alice and Aoko try to investigate it. Unexpectedly, a young boy named Sōjūrō Shizuki is drawn to the mansion and comes to reside with them as well.
Eventually, it is revealed that the intruder who had been disrupting the bounded field is Touko Aozaki, Aoko’s older sister. After killing their grandfather, she seeks to unveil Aozaki’s path to the root.
