Fans Discover An Isekai Manga Inspired By Russian President Putin
Vladimir Putin is currently the most discussed person on Earth because of the serious issues regarding Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. He is the talk of the town, and his personality has influenced so many people that there is an original manga based on Putin.
The manga which is rumoured to be the real-life depiction of the Russian president, Vladimir Putin is basically written & illustrated by Yasushi Baba. The manga is titled “Ride-On King” and is serialized in Kodansha’s Monthly Shonen Sirius. It debuted in May 2018 and became immensely popular in Japan.
The series was such a big hit in the Japanese community that it made it into the list of Top 15 manga series recommended by the Japanese Bookstore. Ride-On King ranked 10th on the list. The manga has currently over 40 chapters released and its official English version is available to read on the Sol Press website.
The story focuses on Alexandre Plutinov, the lifelong president of the Republic of Prussia. He is a master of martial arts and desires to conquer and ride all kinds of things. Whether it is a wild beast, machine or even a nation. The people of Prussia respect & admire him as their leader.
However, one day, he is attacked by a terrorist on his way to political affairs across his beloved tiger Aslan. Plutinov didn’t find any trouble to beat them, but accidentally he got fainted in this attack. The next moment he wakes up he finds himself sight in a different world where humans and monsters coexist!
Now that he has already conquered his country, his next target is a fantasy world that has Orcs, Wyverns, and Centaurs. All this fictional representation seems similar to the Russian president who is also seen as a symbol of strength and power by many people.
