Jujutsu Kaisen 0 India Box-Office Collection Leads With ₹1.5 Crores On First Day
After a wait of over six months, the first-ever movie of the popular anime franchise Jujutsu Kaisen titled “Jujutsu Kaisen 0” has finally arrived in the theatres of India and fans are going crazy about it. On its first day of the premiere, Jujutsu Kaisen 0 India box-office collection has already crossed the mark of ₹1.5 crores and is overtaking some well-known Bollywood biggies as well.
PVR Pictures released the much-awaited film in India on June 30th and as soon as anime fans in India got to know about this news the tickets for Jujutsu Kaisen 0 started to sold-out very fastly. As per provided data, approximately 50,000 tickets has been sold on the first day of the release which grossed the box-office tally of Jujutsu Kaisen 0 in India to ₹1.5 crores (around $190,000 USD).
As the walk-in bookings are yet undisclosed so the total box office collection of the movie for opening day is said to reach ₹2 crores. In addition to the remarkable earnings, the film’s first-day performance was pretty impressive as theatres were going housefull for Jujutsu Kaisen 0 even in non-metropolitan cities like Patna, Prayagraj, and Kochi.
The craze for the Jujutsu Kaisen movie in Indian fans is beyond expectations. Many fans shared the clips from the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 early screening in the theatres and everyone was going crazy about Gojo’s entry. One fan traveled over 200 kilometers just to watch the film in theatres, later he took to Twitter to share his story.
Jujutsu Kaisen 0 has been released in 200 cities across the country and the bookings for regular screenings of “Jujutsu Kaisen 0” can be made on Book My Show, PVR Cinemas App, and other ticket booking platforms. The movie is available in 2D, IMAX 2D & 4DX in the original Japanese language with English subtitles.
The film is based on the manga series ‘Jujutsu Kaisen 0’ written & illustrated by Gege Akutami. It follows the story of Yuta Okkotsu who gets possessed by the cursed spirit of his childhood friend, Rika. Unable to control Rika’s violent behavior, Yuta is helpless to stop the bloodshed that follows from her brutal vengeance.
As a result, Yuta wishes to be completely isolated so that no one else can get hurt. However, witnessing his extraordinary strength and immense cursed energy, Gojo Satoru enrolls him in Jujutsu Tech where he learns about the existence of cursed spirits alongside his first-year classmates Maki Zenin, Toge Inumaki, and Panda.
Directed by Sunghoo Park & produced by MAPPA, Jujutsu Kaisen 0 premiered theatrically in Japanese theatres on December 24, 2021. In the movie, Megumi Ogata is voicing the lead role of Yuta Okkotsu. The supporting cast includes Kana Hanazawa (Rika), Mikako Komatsu (Maki), Kōki Uchiyama (Inumaki), Tomokazu Seki (Panda), Yūichi Nakamura (Gojo), and Takahiro Sakurai (Geto).
