Jujutsu Kaisen 0 Movie Crossed 10 Billion Yen Mark In Box Office Collection
The latest box office revenue of the first-ever movie of the Jujutsu Kaisen franchise titled “Jujutsu Kaisen 0” has finally crossed the mark of 10 billion yen on box office. The film was premiered theatrically on December 24, 2021, in Japan where more than 15,000 people attended the early screenings of the show.
On Monday, TOHO announced that the box office revenue of the film has exceeded 10 billion yen. After 45 days of the public release, Jujutsu Kaisen 0 has sold over 7.6 million tickets with an estimated earning of over 10.4 billion yen. However, the film crossed the ¥10 billion mark on the 43rd day of the release.
After this achievement, Studio MAPPA released a statement to thank all the fans who supported the movie. An animation producer commented, “Thank you for watching Jujutsu Kaisen 0. If many customers enjoyed this movie, all the employees and creators who created the movie would be very happy. The screening will continue, so I hope you will continue to support Jujutsu Kaisen 0. Thank you very much”.
To commemorate the success of the theatrical release of Jujutsu Kaisen 0, TOHO is going to organise a thank-you stage event on Saturday, February 12th. The event will be held at TOHO Cinemas Hibiya and will be broadcasted across all the theatres in Japan. Cast members of Jujutsu Kaisen 0 will also be on stage to celebrate the success of the film.
In addition to the thanksgiving message, the cast will also deliver some super announcements regarding Jujutsu Kaisen on the stage event which can be anything ranging from the English dub trailer of the movie, launching of the new game or confirmation of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2.
The film is directed by Sunghoo Park & produced by MAPPA meanwhile, distributed by Crunchyroll in association with Funimation. Soon, Jujutsu Kaisen 0 will hit U.S. & Canada theatres on March 18th. Tickets will go on sale on February 25. The film will be available in both the original Japanese with English subtitles and dubbed in English.
