Based on the manga by Kyūri Yamada, “The Gene Of AI” takes place in the near future where society is governed by advanced AI in-built humanoids. The sci-fi anime is set in a futuristic world when nearly 10% of the population are “humanoids” – human-like robotic artificial life. Humanoids are accepted as a matter of fact in society, yet they suffer from their own problems and sicknesses. The story centers on the human Hikaru Sudō, who is a doctor specializing in humanoids.
The series is being produced by Studio Madhouse with Yuzo Sato helming the project as director. The anime script is being written and supervised by Ryunosuke Kingetsu. Takashi Ohmama and Natsumi Tabuchi are handling the music meanwhile, Kei Tsuchiya is the character designer.
