Man Does 1000 Punches A Day Until Hunter X Hunter Returns

How far can you go for an anime show? Not more than this Japanese man who does 1000 punches every day until his favorite anime Hunter X Hunter returns.

A Japanese Youtuber named Tarue Totsugeki is praying for the comeback of his favorite series Hunter X Hunter, written by Yoshihiro Togashi, by throwing 1000 punches every day on his live stream. He’s doing this for almost one and a half years!

He admitted that his idea is inspired by one of the major characters of Hunter X Hunter ‘Isaac Netero’ who was also a martial art trainer and went to train in the mountains at the age of 46. Netero showed his gratitude towards martial arts in the same way by throwing thousands of punches and prayers daily.

Recently, Hunter X Hunter celebrated its 10th anniversary with a special new TV anime illustration featuring Gon, Kurapika, Killua, Leoreo and Hisoka.

Hunter X Hunter is an adventure anime series that follows the story of Gon Freecss who sets on a journey to find his father. In addition to this, he dreams of becoming a renowned hunter so that he can stand proud in front of his father. Throughout his journey, he encounters other hunters like Kurapika, Killua and Leoreo with whom he becomes friends later.

The show aired for the first time in 1999 and then in 2011 a sequel produced by Studio Madhouse was released which turned out to be a blockbuster series. Hunter X Hunter manga is on a hiatus for more than 1000 days due to Togashi’s health and there seems no possible way of its return.
