Solo Leveling Dethrones One Piece as Crunchyroll’s Most Popular Anime

The story of humanity’s weakest hunter rising to the strongest is slowly but steadily capturing the minds of anime fans. Since its TV debut in 2024, Solo Leveling has cemented itself as a cornerstone of the action genre, quickly climbing the ranks to become the most popular anime on Crunchyroll.

Based on total user reviews, Solo Leveling now is the most decorated anime series on the streaming platform, surpassing Toei Animation’s juggernaut. At the time of writing this article, Solo Leveling has 612k reviews compared to One Piece’s 599k.

Before the start of its second season, Solo Leveling had around 400k ratings. Surprisingly, in just two months, it has gained over 200k additional reviews, toppling One Piece from the top spot on Crunchyroll and becoming the platform’s most popular anime to date.

Adding to its accolades, Solo Leveling holds the record for Crunchyroll’s biggest premiere ever. The first episode of Season 2 is also the third most-liked episode on the platform, a milestone fans believe will be surpassed once the highly anticipated fight between Jinwoo and Beru is adapted into the anime.
