New Japanese PM ‘A Demon Slayer Fan’ Promised To Boost The Income Of Anime Industry People

The new Prime Minister of Japan, Fumio Kishida who won the presidential election and is going to be the 100th PM of Japan promised to the people of the anime and manga industry that he will make changes to the industry in order to boost the income of the people working in the anime sector.

In a public conference, he stated “I will also work to raise the income of people involved in Japanese soft power industry such as manga & anime.”

Surprisingly, Fumio Kishida is a big fan of the popular anime series, Demon Slayer and he has read all the volumes of the manga. He proclaimed, “I haven’t watched TV, but I’ve read through all the volumes of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba. My favorite character is Akaza.”

Now, after becoming the PM, he’s trying to give it back to the people of the anime & manga industry who has a huge contribution to the economy of Japan. And, his first step in this process is to increase the wages of artists and creators who are involved in it.
