After a halt of over one month, One Piece anime episodes will run once again on the Japanese TV network starting April 17, 2022. The anime was on indefinite hiatus since March 6 because of unknown third party involvement in Toei Animation which resulted in their website being hacked.

On Wednesday, the official Twitter account of One Piece released a press statement stating that the anime will start broadcasting again on April 17th and will air Episode 1014 which is titled “Marco’s Tears! The Bonds of the Whitebeard Pirates”. On Sunday, April 10th, there will be a recap episode titled “Wano Country Best Selection”.

The episode will be the first new episode for the anime in six weeks, and the first since the Toei Animation hack last month that also affected other productions. On March 11, Toei Animation revealed in a press statement that its website was hacked and its internal network was illegally accessed by a third party.

As a precaution, they had to shut down its online shop & a part of the website to block any access from outside. This affected the production schedule of various anime of the company which includes TV animations Dragon Quest Dai no Daibouken, Delicious Party Precure, Digimon Ghost Game, and One Piece.

Furthermore, the company had to delay its upcoming movie “Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero Movie” which was scheduled to be released in Japan on April 22, 2022. Besides, the One Piece anime return the company also confirmed that its other works will also air in the next few weeks of April.
