One Piece Fan Received Oda’s Signed Strawhat From Shank’s Voice Actor
One Piece is around there for the past 22 years and has achieved a milestone of reaching 1000 episodes. In its long journey, the series kept attracting fans from all over the world and they got hooked up to the show in an instant. And, today one such lucky fan got the privilege to receive a straw hat from Shanks’ VA himself.
A few days ago, a One Piece fan from India named Surica appeared on a Japanese TV show as a guest. There he talked about his love and attachment towards the series. Surprisingly, during the broadcast, the host introduced the voice actor of ‘Red-Haired’ Shanks on the stage.
Surica’s excitement was on another level after seeing his legendary icon in front of him. The VA of Shanks, Shūichi Ikeda, represented the fan with a straw hat signed by Eiichiro Oda himself and he gave it classically by recreating the scene of Shanks and Luffy in One Piece Chapter 1.

In addition to this, Surica received a letter from Oda as well that mentioned about his work and gave him best wishes for the future. He also asked the fan to treat him to a good meat steak. Here’s the complete translation of Oda’s letter to the fan:-
Hi, Surica! I’ve just read your fan letter to me. It’s amazing you’re planning to create the best IT company in the world. Regarding your dream, as someone who already achieved his goal, I can only tell you, “Dreams do come true.”
By the way, I have a present for you today. That’s a straw hat with my signature. When your company becomes big in the future and asks me to collaborate, I’d gladly accept your offer and meet you. Hopefully, you’ll hand over the straw hat you got to me then. And treat me to a meat steak! I’m looking forward to the day when your dreams come true.
Getting a straw hat in such a way is an honour for any One Piece fan around the world especially for the fans residing in India. They will be glad to hear this news as their own countrymen have grabbed something big that no one can imagine.
Well, the good news for fans is One Piece is releasing another new film this year as the franchise is all set to premiere its 15th feature film of the series on Aug 6, 2022, titled “One Piece Film RED”. The film is about the Red-Haired Pirates and will feature Shanks in the supporting role with Luffy’s gang.
