The life of animators is really hard especially when they have to work under a tight schedule to complete the project before the deadline. But, sometimes this stressed-out work turns into a nightmare for them resulting in the separation from their own family and the same thing happened in Studio MAPPA.

Studio MAPPA is a well-established production house in Japan. The studio is famous for some of its current works which include Jujutsu Kaisen, Chainsaw Man, Hell’s Paradise, Kakegurui, Vinland Saga Season 2 and Attack On Titan Season 4.

Apart from some great anime projects, MAPPA is also infamous for its tight schedule and overburden on its animators. From time to time, the fans have criticised them for over exhausting their staff by overburdening them with a new project every month.

And, a similar incident came into notice last week when an episode director of Attack On Titan Season 4 Part 2 tweeted that he hasn’t gone to his home for the past couple of days.

The tweet said the following words, “I went home for the first time in three days”. In just a matter of hours, the tweet went viral on Twitter and it created such a tense environment among the fans that the director had to delete it from his official Twitter account.

The tweet was made from the Twitter handle of Teruyuki OMINE who has been associated with Studio MAPPA for a very long time. Recently, he served as the episode director of Attack On Titan Episode 78 titled “Two Brothers”. The episode was a big hit, and the efforts of his work were very clear in the series.

In reply to his tweet, the anime fans showed their gratitude & respect towards the director and advised him to take proper rest. One user wrote, “It’s crazy how hands behind the significant animation of Attack on Titan are putting their all that it’s making them keep working 24×7 without going home for more than 3 days.”

Problem-related to the financial & health concerns of the animators isn’t something new. And, it’s not just in one studio like MAPPA. Respectable studios like CloverWorks & Kyoto Animation are facing similar situations.

But, it is still not pointed out effectively and it requires a serious debate on this topic. Fans should also come forward in this matter and stop fighting each other over some useless ratings. They need to appreciate the animators more than they deserve, after all, they’re leaving their families to make our favorite anime series.
