Solo Leveling Official Theme Song Released | Anime Announcement Soon?
Solo Leveling, one of the most popular South Korean works, has finally released its original soundtrack (OST) on official streaming platforms. The music video released by D&C Webtoon features the K-pop band “The Boyz” in action who’re singing the energetic Solo Leveling song titled ‘Echo’.
On Wednesday, March 2, the makers of the webtoon released the Solo Leveling OST on the official YouTube channel of D&C Webtoon. The music video is for the promotion of Solo Leveling manhwa to increase its physical sales like many other webtoons. Check out the video below.
‘Echo’, sung by The Boyz, is a future trap genre song based on a trap beat that heightens the tension. Some renowned producers like 1Take, TAK, Beatie, and Corbin are participating in the production. The theme song is planned to add perfect chemistry with the webtoon by expressing the inner feelings of the main character ‘Sung Jin-woo’, who constantly level up.
The background of the music video for ‘Echo’ is Hapjeong Station and a double dungeon, which is in reference to the dungeon world view of Solo Leveling. In addition to the fun of watching The Boyz’s fast-paced, energetic acting and choreography, the video provides a fantasy pleasure as if the world in the webtoon was brought to reality.
However, many fans are also speculating that this music video is going to be the first step towards the anime adaptation of Solo Leveling as a few months back there was a rumour going around the internet that the production work of Solo Leveling anime has already started.
If the rumours turned out to be true, then it is most likely that Studio Mir will be in charge of the animation production of Solo Leveling. They’re based in South Korea and are best-known for animating popular TV shows such as The Legends of Korra and Dota: Dragon’s Blood.
However, the official details about the production have not been disclosed yet and the publishing company of Solo Leveling webtoon, D&C Media is also silent on this topic and hasn’t made an announcement till now. Solo Leveling manhwa ended officially with the release of Chapter 179 in January 2022.
