Solo Leveling and dragon ball

Solo Leveling anime has finally entered its final act of the first season and things will only escalate from here on out. However, just days after the release of Solo Leveling Episode 9, fans are going crazy over a clip that shows how the ongoing manhwa turned anime paid homage to the classic “Dragon Ball” series.

The most recent episode of Solo Leveling, titled “You’ve Been Hiding Your Skills”, which premiered on March 9 featured an explosive and enthralling event with Sung Jinwoo going head-to-head against notorious hitman Kang Taeshik. But, what caught the eyes of the fans was a brief moment that referenced Son Goku.

In the Solo Leveling Episode 9, Sung Jinwoo started to bounce on his feet before charging at his opponent. It didn’t go unnoticed as many fans cited this little bouncing on-the-feet movement as a direct reference to Dragon Ball protagonist Son Goku who generally warms up in the same style before a major fight.

The Saiyan did this moments before he took on Broly in “Dragon Ball Super: Broly” which eventually turned into one of the epic fight scenes from the series. The Dragon Ball reference in the latest episode of Solo Leveling sparked the attention of fans all over the world who turned to social media to express their delight.

Many enthusiasts called it an act of tribute by Solo Leveling staff to the legendary mangaka and creator of Dragon Ball, Akira Toriyama, who recently passed away due to subdural hematoma. Even if the above statement is not true, the homage to the iconic series left many teary-eyed and in applause.
