Sung Jinwoo’s Voice Actor’s Poor Health Spark Production Worries
Adapted from the best-selling South Korean webcomic, Solo Leveling anime is going strong and it wouldn’t be wrong to say that A-1 Pictures has lived up to those lofty aspirations so far. Amidst this cheerful atmosphere, a recent update has left fans in a state of concern as it has been reported that Sung Jinwoo’s voice actor is facing health challenges.
Taito Ban, the Japanese voice actor of Sung Jinwoo in the ongoing “Solo Leveling” anime, released a statement on his X profile informing his fans about his latest health check-up. The seiyuu confirmed that he has tested positive for the new Coronavirus and is taking a break from his work.
“As announced by my agency, I have tested positive for the new coronavirus. I will now take ample rest and concentrate on my health so that I can return in perfect condition”, the seiyuu reported. Following this news, the social media has erupted with fans expressing their worry and support for the voice actor’s well-being.
While many enthusiasts poured in messages of encouragement and hope to the actor during this challenging time, some raised their worries about the potential impact on the production of Solo Leveling anime as fans are doubtful about Sung Jinwoo’s voice actor’s involvement in future episodes of the series.
With Sung Jinwoo being a central character in the series, any production hindrances could have significant implications for the release schedule. The good thing is, Solo Leveling anime won’t see any delays as voice recording for the remaining episodes (Episodes 7-12) of the anime has already been done.
Till now, the Japanese voice actor’s performance has been nothing short of superb and everyone is praising him for his role as Sung Jinwoo. A few weeks back, it was also reported that the seiyuu allegedly coughed blood while recording. This just shows how devoted he’s to his role which is why fans eagerly await the voice actor’s return to good health.
