After leaving the clan, Toji despised the jujutsu society and decided to take on the role of a mercenary assassin. He made his reputation as one of the strongest characters in Jujutsu Kaisen and was able to take out two of the formidable sorcerers – Gojo and Geto – in the entire jujutsu world in a matter of minutes.

He was also the only person who came the closest to killing Gojo, who had every card up his sleeve when it came to jujutsu sorcery. Toji’s ability to outwit even the most prophesized sorcerers, no matter how strong or talented, made him worthy of being called “The Sorcerer Killer”.

Toji Fushiguro was born in the elite Zenin clan, one of the Big Three Sorcerer Families. The Zenin clan always valued powerful cursed techniques above all else and since Toji was born without cursed energy, he was completely shunned by the clan and hated by most.

Due to the ostracization by his own family members, Toji decided to renounce his Zenin title and married a woman taking her surname “Fushiguro”. His evil actions result from his dejection towards the jujutsu world as he attempts to spite it.

As Toji was born with zero cursed energy, the Zenin clan resented him to the point that they abused Toji in his early days. The Zenin Family threw him into a swarm of cursed spirits for disciplinary actions, which is where he got his signature scar at the bottom corner of his mouth.

Toji was the first person in the entirety of the jujutsu world who was born without any amount of cursed energy in his body, which essentially made him the most genuine case of Heavenly Restriction. Due to this reason alone, he was never provided with a grade class.

Besides, Toji is also the one who used his gifted Heavenly Restriction body to his advantage the best, making every sorcerer and the entire jujutsu world fear him. By eliminating all cursed energy, Toji’s body became sharpened to a point where his five senses reached his pinnacle.

4. Reason Behind Toji’s Loss Against Gojo

As a zero-cursed radiating user, Toji was only assigned to execute the Star Plasma Vessel and he completed his mission as well. However, due to his disdain for the jujutsu world and the sorcerer families, Toji chose to go against the most gifted sorcerer this era had to offer.

Unable to look past his demons, Toji deviated from his natural instincts and ignored the uneasiness plaguing him during the fight, and in the end, this pride cost Toji his life. Still, only the secret “Hollow Purple” was powerful enough to put down Toji once and for all.

3. Toji Never Met His Son Megumi

Toji is labeled as one of the worst anime dads for walking out on his own son. Even though he’s regarded as an elite fighter, he never became an ideal husband or father. Soon after his marriage, Toji left his wife just as quickly, leaving his newborn child behind, and eventually forgot his name.

He even sold Megumi to the Zenin family because he believed in young Megumi’s potential to be a real sorcerer, naming him “Megumi” because it means blessings. Nonetheless, he deeply cared about his son and repented his mistakes until his final breath.

2. Toji Is A Womanizer

Toji was a womanizer as well, jumping from one woman to another frequently. He didn’t have much money, so he wandered from woman to woman as a means of staying at their place. In another term, Toji was financially dependent on those relationships.

He became unstable while with the Zenin household, but he finally settled when he was with Megumi-mama. Soon, after her death, Toji reverted to his old self however he never loved other women as much as he loved Megumi’s mother.
