Sui Ishida’s Tokyo Ghoul remains one of the best seinen titles to be released in the previous decade. Its early success forced Studio Pierrot to pick the manga for an anime adaptation, but sadly they fumbled the series. Ever since the fans have hoped for a Tokyo Ghoul remake, and it looks like their wish is finally going to come true.

As per several reports coming from Japan, a web domain registry was recently established for Tokyo Ghoul, ahead of the anime series’ 10th anniversary. The domain name itself has yet to surface, but it appears that the franchise has some announcements lined up for the anime’s yearly celebration.

The prospect of a Tokyo Ghoul remake has certainly sparked renewed interest in the series, with fans expressing hope that a new adaptation could deliver a more faithful portrayal of the story. However, they will have to wait for official confirmation from the production companies involved before getting their hopes up too high.

Tokyo Ghoul anime came out in 2014 and received critical acclaim for its dark and gore narrative. But, the release of its sequel “Tokyo Ghoul √A” threw off the fandom as it deviated from the source material and disrupted the entire storyline. With the 10th anniversary of the anime approaching, fans are hopeful that their dream of a faithful adaptation will be fulfilled.
