Tokyo Revengers Season 2 Will Premiere In January 2023! New Key Visual Lifted
The most well-received anime of last year, Tokyo Revengers is returning back with another season next winter. The second season of the series titled “Tokyo Revengers: Christmas Showdown” will reportedly premiere in January 2023. It will continue after the Bloody Halloween Arc and will feature the fight between Tokyo Manji and Black Dragon.
The popular action and sci-fi thriller manga series written by Ken Wakui is coming back to television screens once again with the new season in January 2023. On Saturday, the official Twitter account of Tokyo Revengers confirmed the second season of the anime television series with a new key visual and new character designs from the “Christmas Showdown Arc”.
According to official reports, Draken’s previous voice actor, Tatsuhisa Suzuki will be replaced by Masaya Fukunishi in Tokyo Revengers Season 2. He has voiced Gege in Kikai Sentai Zenkaiger from episode 25 onwards after Tatsuhisa Suzuki went on a hiatus. Tatsuhisa Suzuki pulled out from Season 2 due to controversy involving Singer LiSA. The rest of the staff & cast will remain the same. Liden Films will be in charge of the animation production.
In December 2021, the makers of the series already confirmed that Tokyo Revengers Season 2 is in production and will cover the Christmas Conflict Arc from the original manga series. The production also revealed that the franchise will get an app game for iOS and Android. And, now a release date for Tokyo Revengers Season 2 will bring forth some good vibes in the community.
Synopsis
The first season of Tokyo Revengers finished at a cliffhanger with Takemichi being appointed as Toman’s 1st Division captain and the death of Chifuyu in present. So, Tokyo Revengers Season 2 will uncover the truth from the mystery of Takemichi being dead or alive! Also, it will reveal the whereabouts of present-day Mikey, Draken, Mitsuya and Kazutora who are missing as of now.
Moreover, the second season will adapt the Black Dragons Arc from the manga which highlights the story of another gang, Black Dragons who are a big threat to the Tokyo Manji and the one who leads this vicious gang is, Hakkai’s older brother. So, more action and drama are waiting for you in Tokyo Revengers Season 2 which will decide the existence of Toman in the past.
