The most iconic manga moments are best suited when they get a better anime adaptation and nothing is far worse than a poor animation quality. However, there are several examples out there when production studios destroyed some incredible anime scenes by giving terrible animation to them.
Whether an anime will make it or break it, depends heavily on the quality of the animation throughout the series. Even the best-written and fascinating stories can get a huge backlash if it’s animated poorly, and the most ridiculous storyline can still shine if the animation is beautiful.
