8. Chained Soldier – January 4

Fantasy-action Chained Soldier holds the ability to breathe life into the ecchi and harem anime genre in the winter of 2024. Featuring an all-woman military organization, the story begins with Yuki Wakura who was an average high school student until one day he gets sucked into a demon-filled dimension.

Luckily, he’s saved by Captain Kyouka Uzen of the Anti-Demon Corps’ 7th Division who grants him powers as her “slave”, which turns Yuki into a powerful beast that can viciously mow down demons. The story continues to follow Yuki as he risks his life and well-being to fight off monsters for the Anti-Demon Corps.

7. Doctor Elise – January 10

One of Kakao’s most viewed romantic comedies, Doctor Elise is also gearing up to make its debut on the TV screens in the animated form. The series offers a mix of isekai and historical fantasy while chronicling the prodigal physician Dr. Song’s journey who was a princess in her past life.

As she’s about to meet an untimely death, Dr. Song wakes up in her previous life as Princess Elise once again. Armed with the medical knowledge of a master surgeon, Elise decides to use her second chance at life to mend her past relationships and heal an ailing empire.

6. Classroom Of The Elite Season 3 – January 3

Brain games and competitiveness will be at peak again this winter with the new season drop of Classroom of the Elite anime in January 2024. Ayanokoji Kiyotaka, a quiet and seemingly average high school student, who starts in Class D has his sights set on making it to Class A by overcoming his arrogant peers.

The stakes soar higher as the next act unfolds a “mixed training camp” where students have to face a daunting challenge, collaborating across classes to avoid expulsion. The narrative promises to delve into intricate character dynamics, with a spotlight on Kiyotaka’s journey and the intense rivalry between classes.

5. Mashle Season 2 – January 6

Set around school life and wizardry similar to that of J.K. Rowling’s world-famous “Harry Potter”, Mashle: Magic and Muscles is a coming-of-age comedy series taking place in a magical world where an individual’s position within society is defined by the power of and skill with magic.

As a result, Mash Burnedead without so much as an ounce of magic in his blood finds it difficult to adapt to this world. However, determined to live a peaceful life with his foster father and show the world that muscles can beat magic, he goes to Easton Magic Academy to become a “Divine Visionary”.

4. Monsters: 103 Mercies Dragon Damnation

Monsters is an upcoming anime adaptation of Eiichiro Oda’s one-shot manga which he published before the serialization of his magnum opus, the “One Piece”. The series is set before the events of One Piece and is sort of a spin-off as it follows legendary samurai Ryuma’s adventure in a particular town.

As Ryuma has a significant connection to the history of Wano, the anime will help bring his story to light and maybe some other secrets too that will lead to current era. It’s going to be only a single-episode anime yet the fans are excited for it and are looking forward to release date.

3. Bucchigiri?! – January 12

Studio MAPPA’s next project is a fresh and entertaining exploration of the delinquent anime genre that draws inspiration from the Middle Eastern folklore, “One Thousand and One Nights”. The story follows Arajin Tomoshibi, a teenager who unknowingly transfers to a school full of delinquents and ne’er-do-wells.

With his dream of having a cheerful school life going down the drain, he runs into his childhood friend Matakara Asamine, and the next minute, they find themselves into a brawl with the town’s toughest punks. As things go awry, Arajin somehow winds up unleashing a genie who asks him to speak his true wish.

2. Frieren Part 2 – January 5

After making waves of popularity in the past year, Frieren will be returning with the second cour of anime in January 2024. The series chronicles Frieren, an elf mage who once shared a great adventure with Himmel the Hero and his group, but never realized how precious those moments were until they faded away.

Years later, she embarks on a new journey, following the footsteps of her former companions and seeking to understand her own heart and the hearts of others. The grandiose and enlightening adventure of Frieren delves deep into philosophical themes rather than dwelling too much in the past.

A dream come true event for the manhwa circle is going to happen soon enough because the premiere date for Solo Leveling anime is close. The series is about Sung Jin-Woo, the weakest E-rank hunter who strives to make a living in a world where humanity needs to fight against imposing monsters.

Unfortunately, between his mother’s hospital bills, his sister’s tuition, and his lack of job prospects, he has no choice but to continue to put his life on the line.
