Popular webtoon, Tower of God is finally receiving a second season of its well-received anime television series. Crunchyroll announced on Saturday that Tower of God Season 2 is in production and the anime will have a new sequel very soon. Besides, the company also revealed a new key visual for the upcoming season.
This good piece of news came during the Crunchyroll Industry panel at the ongoing Crunchyroll Expo 2022. Besides, an announcement trailer the makers also revealed the key visual for Tower of God Season 2 featuring two new characters that will be introduced in the next season. The creator of the webtoon series, S.I.U expressed his gratitude while saying that he can’t wait for the second season. “It seems like Season 1 of the animation just came out yesterday, but now I’ll have a chance to see all of you again through Season 2! I’m so grateful to all of the anime production staff as well as the readers, and I can’t wait to see how Season 2 turns out. Thank you as always for all your support!”, he added.
In 2020, Crunchyroll licensed the webtoon of Tower of God and premiered the first season, consisting of 13 episodes, on its official platform. Produced by Telecom Animation Film, the anime received a lot of praise for its stunning visuals, in-depth storyline, and world-building. The new season will stream on Crunchyroll.
Although Tower of God Season 2 has been announced there is still no information regarding the production staff, cast and release date of the upcoming season so wait patiently for it until the officials give us some updates! Furthermore, the webtoon is also on indefinite hiatus due to the author’s health so fans have to wait for a bit more to see their favorites in action.
Tower Of God Season 2 Plot
The first season of Tower of God wrapped up the story at a very interesting point. After coming all the way through the tower for the sake of Rachel, Bam finally reunited with Rachel. Alongside his friends, Bam promised Rachel to help her in the Administrator’s Test, but in the end, Rachel betrayed him for her own selfishness.
Her backstory was also flashed which clearly depicted how she used Bam to climb the tower and as a result pushed Bam out of the protective barrier, eventually in an attempt to kill him. However, Bam is still alive, and more determined than ever to climb the Tower and seek out answers for Rachel’s behavior.
More challenges and new villains are waiting for the predetermined Bam in the tower, which he has to tackle. New characters, new places, newly designed tests – Tower of God Season 2 is going to be epic as it will once again continue the journey of Bam to reach the top of the tower.
