Zenitsu’s Voice Actor & Jujutsu Kaisen Cast Wins 16th Seiyuu Awards!
The 16th annual Seiyu Awards announced all of its winners for 2022. The award show recognizes voice acting and singing in anime and related Japanese media. The Seiyu Awards Executive Committee organizes the ceremony annually. The committee holds the show every March with support from partners like Kadokawa, Aniplex, and Sega.
Seiyuu Awards is the largest award ceremony in the voice actor industry that awards the active voice actors for their outstanding performance in anime and other media in Japan. The first Seiyu Awards were held in 2007, at the 3D Theatre of the Tokyo Anime Center in Akihabara.
The awards ceremony, which revealed the full list of awardees, was held on March 5, 2022. Here is the list of all the winners:
• New Actor Award – Aoi Ichikawa, Reiji Kawashima, Gen Sato
• New Actress Award – Kanata Aikawa, Hikaru Akao, Nene Hieda, Hinaki Yano
• Best Lead Actor Award – Kensho Ono (Notable role: Floch from Attack On Titan)
• Best Lead Actress Award – Megumi Ogata (Notable role: Yuta Okkotsu from Jujutsu Kaisen)
• Supporting Actor Award – Fumihiko Tachiki (Akainu from One Piece), Yuichi Nakamura (Gojo from Jujutsu Kaisen)
• Supporting Actress Award – Mikako Komatsu (Maki from Jujutsu Kaisen), Rie Takahashi (Emila from Re:Zero)
• Singing Award – Soma Saito
• Personality Award – Takahiro Sakurai (Geto from Jujutsu Kaisen)
• Synergy Award – Evangelion series
• Game Award – Uma Musume Pretty Derby
• Influencer Award – Tomokazu Seki (Panda from Jujutsu Kaisen)
• Kids Family Award – Kyousei Tsukui
• Achievement Award – Yoko Asagami, Michihiro Ikemizu
• Foreign Film/Live-Action Show Award – Taiten Kusunoki, Kanaka Toujou
• MVS (Most Valuable Seiyu) – Hiro Shimono (Zenitsu from Demon Slayer)
