Just like 2021, the upcoming year is also stacked with some amazing and exciting anime shows that will bring a smile to your face. Recently, numerous anime projects were announced and in this article, we are going to cover it up all.

The Rising Of The Shield Hero S2

One of the best isekai anime series, The Rising of The Shield Hero is confirmed to premiere its second season in April 2022. Before that, it was scheduled to be released in October this year but got postponed due to some reasons.

Rising of The Shield Hero is a light novel adaptation that follows the journey of Naofumi Iwatani, who is summoned into a parallel world to become one of the four Cardinal Heroes, ‘The Shield Hero’.

Considered weak among all the heroes, he tries his best to prove his worth. But, after the false allegations of sexual assault by the princess, his life turns into misery. Devoid of everything he sets on a mission to become strong and make companions during the journey.

Season 2 will explore the fantasy world of Rising of The Shield Hero more in-depth as at the end we came to know that apart from Naofumi’s world several other dimensions are facing the monster wave attacks. The inclusion of other heroes will make the series more exciting.

Vinland Saga S2

In July 2021, to commemorate 2 years of its anime release popular anime & manga franchise Vinland Saga announced the most awaiting news for its fans by confirming Season 2 of Vinland Saga. A key visual centring Thorfinn was also released.

As of writing this article, there is no update about the release date of the second season. But, according to official reports, Vinland Saga Season 2 is in production and will most probably release in Fall 2022.

Vinland Saga is a historical anime focused on the journey of a young enthusiastic boy, Thorfinn who lost his father at a very young age. To revenge his father’s death, Thorfinn sails the ship of his enemy, Askeladd and travel alongside him to get a chance to kill him one day.

Vinland Saga Season 1 was produced by WIT Studio and it was considered one of the best anime of 2019. For the second season, the production house is not revealed yet and some fans are speculating it can be MAPPA.

Made In Abyss S2

Made in Abyss is a dark fantasy sci-fi manga series written and illustrated by Akihito Tsukushi. Season 1 of this critically acclaimed series was premiered in 2017 and after 4 years, it will return with its new sequel in 2022. Season 2 is titled “Made In Abyss: Golden Town of The Relentless Day”.

The series is about an orphaned girl named Riko who lives in the Belchero Orphanage in the town of Orth. The town surrounds a strange, giant hole descending deep into the earth, which is known as the Abyss.

Riko, determined to find her mother, bids farewell to her friends and secretly departs into the Abyss with Reg as her companion.

Kaguya Sama: Love Is War S3

Recently, A-1 Pictures announced Season 3 of Kaguya Sama: Love Is War which is set to release in April 2022. In addition to this, a 10-minute long promotional video was also released on the official YouTube channel.

Kaguya Sama: Love Is War is a romance and comedy anime series based on high school life. Miyuki Shirogane, the student council president and vice-president Kaguya Shinomiya appear to be the perfect couple.

But, both are too proud to confess their love. And to do so, they scheme plot to make the other confess their love first. Other members of the club such as the mischievous Chika Fujiwara and the silent comedian, Ishigami adds flavour to this series making it more interesting to the viewers.

Blue Lock

Blue Lock is a sports manga series written by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and illustrated by Yusuke Nomura. An anime television series produced by Studio 8bit will premiere in 2022.

The series is about a teenager, Isagi Yoichi who dreams of becoming the greatest striker of the Japanese football team. One day a confidential football project called “Blue Lock”, invites Isagi and 299 other strikers from all over Japan to decide the best striker in the world.

To achieve his dream and make his name in the World Cup football team of Japan Isagi trains with these novice strikers to reach the pinnacle of his favorite sports.

Mob Psycho 100 S3

Mob Psycho 100 is a supernatural comedy anime and it is good at surprising its fans. The build-up of this anime is so good that once you start watching it, you stick to it. And, the good news for its fans is Mob Psycho 100 Season 3 is confirmed!

As of now, the release date is not confirmed yet but speculations are it will be released in 2022. The show is about a psychic teenager, Shigeo Kageyama known as ‘Mob’ and his teacher Arataka Reigen. Together they get rid of ghosts and spirits residing in the human world.

The art style of Mob Psycho 100 is kind of different as it sends the viewers to a hallucinating world. The proportionate use of colors and directions gives an impressive edge to the series. Mob Psycho was one of the best series of 2016 and it is still the most loved anime series.

Jujutsu Kaisen S2

Jujutsu Kaisen is one of the most fast-growing franchises having more than 50 million manga copies in circulation in just a year of its initial anime release. Thanks to the anime adaptation that this masterpiece of Gege Akutami received a lot of praise.

In October 2020, Jujutsu Kaisen premiered its first season and it turned out to be the most successful anime series of the year 2020. Everyone loved the show and praised the show for its amazing storyline and dark comedy theme. A movie adaptation titled “Jujutsu Kaisen 0” is also set to release on December 24 this year.

But, fans are eager to know about the release of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 and are patiently looking forward to it. To be clear, there is no update about its new season right now and the studio is also focusing more on the movie version so you have to wait longer for it.

The good news is, some officials confirmed that the Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 is in production and everyone is giving their best effort in the making of it. So, not sure, but it can be said that Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 will release in Winter 2022.

Attack On Titan S4 Part 2

Attack On Titan Season 4 aired its first part in December 2020 and ended on a very high voltage drama scene featuring two big faces of the show, Reiner and Eren as the centrepiece of the upcoming big war.

MAPPA is producing the series and has confirmed that Attack On Titan The Final Season Part 2 will air on January 9, 2022. A trailer featuring the VA of Eren Yeager, Yuki Kaji was also released.

Part 2 will cover the rest of the chapters from the manga and will commence the deciding war between Marley and Paradise Island. We will get to know about the mysteries behind the power of founding Titans and the descendants of Ymir.

Bleach TYBW

The last episode of Bleach was aired way back in 2012 and after that, it took a long 9 years of wait to hear some good news about its return.

Things got stirred up when Tite Kubo published a 73-page long one-shot chapter which hyped the anime fans and they started expecting a new season of Bleach. And recently, a new domain registry made this speculation true!

And making it official, on the 20th Anniversary of Bleach, Studio Pierrot announced that the “Thousand-Year Blood War” arc from the manga will receive an anime adaptation. There is no official release date confirmed yet, but it is for sure that Bleach anime will return in 2022!

To commemorate the 20 years of Bleach, an art exhibition will be held in Shibuya from Dec 18, 2021, to Jan 16, 2022, and fans can expect a new announcement related to the anime from there.

Chainsaw Man

MAPPA is handling a lot of big future projects and it looks like its latest project Chainsaw Man is going to be the best anime by Studio MAPPA. Last year, it was announced that the manga written and illustrated by Tatsuki Fujimoto will be adapted into an anime original.

After this announcement fans are really excited to watch this series and it is one of the most hyped anime series of 2022. In June, on the occasion of the 10th anniversary, MAPPA released a new trailer of Chainsaw Man but, haven’t confirmed any release date. But, most likely it will be late 2022.

Chainsaw Man focuses on the journey of a young uneducated boy, Denji who runs any kind of errand to fulfill his daily requirements of money. He, with his pet Pochita, lives a miserable life but somehow they manage to live under those circumstances.

Denji dreams of living a happy life and wishes to die in the arms of a girl. And for the sake of it, one day he encounters a dangerous job where a tragedy happens to him and changes him to a ruthless cutting machine, making him a ‘Chainsaw Man’.
