YouTuber Corpse Husband Debuts In Anime Industry With A New Role

YouTube icon and popular musician & streamer, Corpse Husband on Monday announced that he will make his debut in the anime industry as a leading global anime company, Funimation added him to the English voice acting cast of action sci-fi anime “Tribe Nine”.

Funimation confirmed the news on their official social media platforms. Corpse Husband will be entering the world of anime by voicing Ojiro Otori in the English dub of the upcoming anime Tribe Nine. This will be his first major voice acting role. Corpse shared this news with the fans on his official Twitter handle.

“Tribe Nine” is the latest work of Danganronpa & Akudama Drive creator, Kodaka Kazutaka. The anime is currently airing and has been animated by studio Liden Films (Tokyo Revengers). The series also has a video game adaptation developed by Too Kyo Games and a webtoon is also in development.

The story of Tribe Nine takes place in the dystopic Neo Tokyo where young kids have abandoned traditional society to form their own tribes. To avoid outbreaks of violence, the government commands that all conflicts should be resolved playing Extreme Baseball, a futuristic version of baseball where players can use the tricked-out gear.

Corpse Husband, who is known for his particularly deep voice, will serve as the voice of the masked antagonist Ojiro Otori. The English dub of Tribe Nine began premiering on Jan 31, 2022. New episodes will be released every Monday on the official website of Funimation.
