The previous chapter of One Punch Man was totally mind-blowing as the intense build-up of the last few chapters finally paid off when Saitama confronted Garou. Saitama unleashed two new attacks from his arsenal and the damage by his attacks was sufficient enough to destroy a moon of Jupiter. One Punch Man Chapter 167 Recap
In chapter 167 of One Punch Man, Blast warps Saitama and Garou away from Earth but can’t manage to get them far enough away due to the sheer amount of energy he needs to handle. His allies show up and assist him in redirecting the energy which in return sends Garou and Saitama flying to one of Jupiter’s moons, crashlanding there. Just before that, a giant spine can be seen on the moon, maybe it’s God’s physical location.
Saitama comments that letting loose on someone robust might be good for him. They continue their fight, Garou tries everything combining every technique he has learned and copied but Saitama just seems to defy logic, anticipating his portal attacks and even physically manipulating them as if they were solids. Saitama tells Garou to come at him with his fists as he’s bored with the cheap parlor tricks (referring to the portals and such).
Garou responds by saying that all those things put together are his fist. Saitama unleashes a couple of new attacks, the ‘Omnidirectional Serious Punch’ and the ‘Serious Tableflip’. The tableflip is so intense that Garou momentarily loses sense of direction, eventually crashing head first into the ground. It ends with the two of them exchanging blows again. Garou’s strategy seems to be simple: just keep copying and exchanging blows, which is what happens at the end of the chapter.
One Punch Man Chapter 168 Summary
The chapter continued with Saitama and Garou fighting continuously with bare hands. Both were going toe-to-toe against each other and a funny incident occurred in the midst of their battle where Saitama destroyed the entire Jupiter planet just by his sneeze. The fight takes them back to Earth again and we can see God Garou trying to escape from naked Saitama.
Saitama uses his Serious Punch to take Garou down and after a little chitchat, Garou unleashes his special move. By using an unknown move, Garou sends himself back to the past when the fight was about to begin. The time travel concept became canon as Saitama got his torn-up suit back however, there is no explanation about this and it will be revealed in the next chapter.
One Punch Man Chapter 168 Release Date
One Punch Man manga by ONE and Yusuke Murata is published in Shueisha’s Tonori no Young Magazine which releases its new issue every Saturday. However, unlike other manga series, One Punch Man does not stick to a release schedule, which is quite odd since most of the manga release either on a weekly or on a monthly basis. But, for OPM the schedule is random and the author is allowed to publish the chapter whenever he wishes.
Despite having so much freedom, Murata isn’t a lazy author and works like a maniac. In most cases, the new chapters are released either on the first Saturday of the month or the last one. This time One Punch Man Chapter 168 is scheduled to release on July 21st, 2022 at 12:00 AM (JST). The release date can vary for some international readers due to differences in time zone but, it will be either the previous day or the next day of its initial release.
