Going to be the biggest anime project of the year 2022, Chainsaw Man by Studio MAPPA has finally released a new trailer for the upcoming anime television series. The makers revealed the voice-acting cast of the series as well, in fact, the Chainsaw Man anime release date has also been decided and it is going to premiere in October 2022.

The official YouTube channel of MAPPA held a live event on Friday evening which was attended by the production staff and cast members of the anime series. During the event, MAPPA lifted the curtain from the brand new Chainsaw Man trailer which featured the voices of all the characters. Besides, the director also confirmed the release date of Chainsaw Man anime.

Studio MAPPA is in charge of the animation production with Ryu Nakayama helming the project as the head director. Hiroshi Seko will be the scriptwriter of the upcoming anime meanwhile, the character design of the series will be under Kazutaka Sugiyama. The anime will stream this year on Crunchyroll. In addition to the Chainsaw Man anime release date, another good news came for the fans during the live event as after a long wait of over 1-year the most awaited list of Chainsaw Man voice actors has finally arrived. The main cast of the series attended the event in-person and Studio MAPPA introduced them to the audience individually. Below is the complete list of Chainsaw Man voice actors & actresses and their previous roles:

Denji will be voiced by Kikunosuke Toya (also voiced, Osei Kiyoshima from Wind Boys!)

Power will be voiced by Fairouz Ai (also voiced, Jolyne Cujoh from JoJo Stone Ocean and Valkyrie from Cautious Hero)

Makima will be voiced Tomori Kusunoki (also voiced, Futuba Igarashi from My Senpai Is Annoying and Misha Necron from Misfit Of Demon King Academy)

Aki Hayakawa will be voiced by Shogo Sakata (also voiced, Gladion from Pokémon and Carbo from Dr. Stone)

When Is Chainsaw Man Anime Coming Out?

As confirmed by the officials, Chainsaw Man anime is coming out in October 2022. Previously, the makers revealed the key visual featuring Denji in his devil form and now a release date has also been announced by the production. In just a couple of months, Chainsaw Man anime will be available to stream on Crunchyroll.

Fans are also wondering, how many episodes will be there in Chainsaw Man anime? There has been no confirmation from the official sources regarding the number of episodes the series will receive. However, considering the popularity of the series, most probably Chainsaw Man anime will have a total of 24 episodes which may or may not be divided into split-cours depending on the production.

Crunchyroll has acquired the streaming rights to the anime adaptation of “Chainsaw Man”. Crunchyroll will simulcast the series in more than 200 countries (excluding Asia) and territories around the world. Dubs will include English, Latin American Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, French, and German.

Furthermore, Crunchyroll has also confirmed the Chainsaw Man anime release date so we’ll just have to keep waiting for that information. There were also speculations about whether the Chainsaw Man anime will be censored or not. The good news is that there will not be any censoring in the anime and original scenes will also be included, as confirmed by the director.

What Is Chainsaw Man About?

Written & illustrated by Tatsuki Fujimoto, Chainsaw Man is a story about a teenager named Denji who has normal dreams just like ours – living a happy and peaceful life with the girl he likes. Far from reality, Denji and his pet Pochita get involved in killing devils so that he can pay off his enormous debt. But his luck runs out when he gets executed by a devil on site.

In an unexpected turn of events, Denji’s devil pet Pochita merges with his dead body which grants him the powers of a Chainsaw Devil. After acquiring the ability to transform his body parts into chainsaws, Denji uses this new skill to brutally dispatch his enemies. His heroic action catches the eyes of the strongest devil hunter, Makima.

As part of the devil hunting organization known as “Public Safety Bureau”, Makima offers Denji to work at the agency besides herself. With the enthusiasm of winning Makima’s heart and living a normal life, Denji decides to face even the toughest of enemies and stop at nothing to achieve his simple teenage dreams.
