Demon Slayer Fans Angry On Sexualizing Nezuko’s Demon Form

Published by Gintoki on

The most trending topic in the anime community right now is the latest episode of Demon Slayer Season 2 and it’s not the first time the franchise is in the media spotlight. But, this time the show is being criticised for its over-sexualization of Nezuko’s Demon Form.

In Episode 6 of Demon Slayer Season 2, fans got to see the most awaited fight between Nezuko and Daki. However, for this fight, Nezuko turned into the full demon mode and confronted Daki in a one-on-one battle. But, some fans didn’t like the revealing outfit of Nezuko that was grabbing the attention of many.

The fans were not happy about this because Nezuko is originally a teenager. Meanwhile, the outfit of Nezuko’s Demon Form was totally erotic as it certainly revealed too much of her body parts which weren’t necessary keeping in mind that she is just 14 years old. So, some fans took it to Twitter and lashed out at the makers of the show for sexualizing Nezuko in such an abrupt way.

Here are a few reactions by Demon Slayer fans on the latest episode of the series featuring Nezuko in Demon Form:-

This is not the first time that Demon Slayer is being criticised for its fanservice in the show. Just a few weeks ago, fans showed the same reactions when Daki was introduced as they claimed her outfit to be over-sexualized and not appropriate for a child watching the show.

Another time, Demon Slayer seemed in trouble when the viewers acclaimed the series to be a promoter of polygamy after the appearances of Tengen Uzui and his three wives. So, it’s not something new for the franchise and they’re facing such types of scenarios for quite a while.

But, despite all the commotion going around Demon Slayer is doing brilliantly good and is all set to release its next episode very soon. Demon Slayer Season 2 Episode 7 is scheduled to premiere on January 16, 2022, on the official platforms of Crunchyroll, Funimation and Netflix.

I agree with all of this.

IDK what’s dumber, the fact that people jump straight to sexualization or the fact that they don’t think of reasons to why she looks the way she does. first time I saw this I didn’t think damn she’s hot, I thought damn she’s bad ass. as for what I believe to be the case of appearance her clothes do not change size with her body, as is the case to when she turned into what looked like a child. if you look, which I noticed after seeing this stupidity is that when she shrank so did her bust. she went from having something to having nothing. now I don’t remember every single detail of the show because I only watched it once but didn’t the guy who trained Tanjiro Hypnotized Nezuko to make her believe all humans are family and must be protected. What type of Female protects her family with her entire being? that’s right a mother. So isn’t it possible that maybe when she goes into full demon form it’s because she’s at the point of motherly protection where her life isn’t important as long as her “family” is safe? which means her body would change into a more adult form? and again as stated before in this her clothes do not change size so yea by all technicality more skin will show. As for the “sexualization” of a 14 year old character, idk if anyone reading this had the same experience in highschool as me but she’s not showing more flesh than a lot of the girls from back then or now, so if you have an issue with a fictional character showing skin well unless you have the same issue about girls in highschool doing the same you’re being hypocritical.

Uhm it’s not that she’s showing some skin. It’s that she’s being sexualized. I’m not going to police how girls dress…dressing with skin showing isn’t an invitation to be sexualized.
