In the previous chapter, the narrative underwent a significant shift as the Jujutsu High team united in a coordinated effort to divert Sukuna’s attention. This allowed Yuji to strike the King of Curses with a Black Flash, which ultimately led to Yuji’s true potential being awakened by the end of the chapter.

Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 257 begins with a flashback of Uraume questioning Sukuna about Yuji’s true identity. It’s revealed that while Sukuna was still in his mother’s womb, he consumed his twin brother because he was “hungry”. Later, the soul of that deceased twin reincarnated as Jin Itadori, with whom Kenjaku gave birth to Yuji Itadori.

As Uraume wonders if Yuji has the same potential as Sukuna, the scene cuts back to the present where Yuji hits Sukuna with two back-to-back Black Flashes. He then slices through a pillar and hurls it at Sukuna, attempting to sever his leg, but is repelled with a barrage of slashes.

Yuji ignores the slashes and lands another Black Flash on Sukuna. Right then, the narrator reveals that Yuji currently wields two Cursed Techniques: “Blood Manipulation,” inherited from the Death Painting Wombs, and “Shrine,” inherited from Sukuna – but at present, his control over the latter is still limited.

The narrator further explains that Yuji’s Shrine is different from Sukuna’s due to him being in a different era and being a different person. As he just learned about it, the power behind Yuji’s slashes is also considerably weak. However, Sukuna still finds it infuriating that Yuji can use it at all.

Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 257 then shifts focus to Ino who summons a Dragon using Auspicious Beast Summon and attempts to strike Sukuna with the Blade. Although Sukuna slices the Dragon in half and catches the blade with his feet, he is momentarily distracted, allowing Yuji to land another Black Flash.

Growing increasingly alarmed by Yuji’s frequent use of Black Flashes, Sukuna tries to punch Yuji, but Yuji grabs him and slams him into a wall, following up with another Black Flash. Sukuna slices at Yuji but despite his injuries, Yuji continues his assault, just then, Ino intervenes by hurling Nanami’s blade at Sukuna, momentarily halting his attack.

Acknowledging his own limitations, Ino encourages Yuji to unleash his full strength. Yuji hits Sukuna with another Black Flash, making it his seventh in succession in Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 257. The chapter ends with the narrator stating that Yuji has become equal to Sukuna and might have surpassed him as well.

Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 257 is set to be officially released on April 21 on the Shonen Jump+ app. With the revelation that Sukuna is Yuji’s legitimate uncle, it would be interesting to see how Gege Akutami will weave this newfound blood relation into the narrative, leading the series towards what promises to be an epic and thrilling conclusion.

Adult Swim recently released a promotional video for Ninja Kamui Episode 11 which is set to be released on April 20th. From the first look of the upcoming episode, it appears that viewers will finally be treated to some authentic ninja fights as the epic showdown between Higan and Zai comes to a close in the next episode.

Criticism of the CGI-drawn mecha robots was first raised when the series introduced the Gusoku Gears, which were primarily used by AUZA-affiliated ninjas. Eventually, Higan also got his hands on one of these advanced suits, resulting in a significant increase in 3D action compared to the first half of the anime.

With Ninja Kamui, the implementation of CGI battles has simply struggled to be as cool as 2D action sequences, as was noted in the last episode. Even though the staff at E&H Production has put great efforts into balancing the transition change, the audience is still hooked to the hand-drawn action.

At this point, it would be wise to say that no matter the strides made in CGI development, there will always be an uphill battle with convincing audiences to give it a chance. Nonetheless, Ninja Kamui has tackled this issue and it would be interesting to see how the story will conclude as the series approaches its finale.

In a recent report by Polygon, the company analyzed the data for TV audiences, surveying nearly 5,000 participants to understand viewing habits across different age groups. As it turns out, the data revealed that Gen Z is more inclined to watch anime every week as opposed to pro sports like the NFL.

Among respondents above the age of 18, the survey found that 42% of Gen Z participants regularly tune in to anime each week in comparison to the 25% who follow the American football league. In the United States, this trend underscores the growing influence of anime on streaming platforms.

From the report, it’s pretty clear that anime has become increasingly popular among the youth, to the point where its cultural impact is now comparable to that of mainstream sports. In fact, this significant shift has prompted major companies such as Amazon Prime, Netflix, Disney+ and Hulu to invest in anime content to cater to the growing demand.

It is quite evident that anime is on its way to becoming the most consumed form of entertainment in the world. With Gen Z embracing this medium, it is safe to assume that future generations will also consider anime as a mainstream form of entertainment rather than a niche interest.

Based on Naoya Matsumoto’s original manga series, Kaiju No. 8 anime television series will kick off the journey of Kafka Hibino who gains the ability to turn into kaiju and now must navigate using his power while trying to become part of an organization that eliminates kaiju to fulfill a promise he made with a childhood friend.

Where To Watch Kaiju No. 8 Episode 1?

For the first time, Kaiju No. 8 Episode 1 was live-streamed on X (formerly known as Twitter) at the same time as its airing in Japan. The episode, titled “The Man Who Became a Kaiju”, is now available on Crunchyroll for viewers in over 200 countries worldwide. Currently, the streaming platform is offering a free premium trial for new users.

Dubs for the series will also be produced in English, Latin American Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Castilian Spanish, and Russian. Crunchyroll and Netflix (in certain regions) will exclusively simulcast the series on their streaming platform with sub and dub versions for the anime releasing simultaneously.

A team comprised of industry veterans is actively working on the Kaiju No. 8 anime adaptation. The series is being produced at Production I.G. (known for “Haikyu!” and “Psycho-Pass”) with Shigeyuki Miya helming the project as the director and Ichiro Okouchi as the scriptwriter of the series.

Kaiju designs are done by Studio Khara meanwhile, Tetsuya Nishio is in charge of the character designs. English singer YOUNGBLUD performs the opening theme song “Abyss” while American rock band OneRepublic performs the ending theme “Nobody” for the anime.

On April 3, Inori Minase stirred a storm when her official X account quote tweeted a fan’s picture of her with the caption “An idiot who can’t read Minase’s warning”. The said tweet from Minase was immediately deleted, with Minase’s staff later claiming her account was hacked.

Coincidentally, a fan account under the name “Doyakonga” too got deactivated shortly after the controversial quote was posted. Notably, the Doyakonga account was recognized as a dedicated fan account of Minase, often praising the seiyuu while defaming other voice actresses of similar popularity by exposing highly personal information about them.

This led netizens to believe that Minase herself might be the one behind both accounts and that she accidentally posted a tweet meant for Doyakonga on the official account. One significant factor contributing to this theory was the timing of Doyakonga’s account deactivation, coinciding with Minase’s alleged hacking incident.

The fan account’s sudden disappearance only turned the situation into a full-blown controversy with many questioning why Doyakonga would deactivate their account during a time when their favorite seiyuu is under scrutiny. A lot of similarities between Minase and Doyakonga’s habits were also pointed out by those who investigated the matter.

Furthermore, Doyakonga’s apparent presence at multiple shows raised even more questions and fueled speculations, given that Minase’s fan club had restricted the attendees to only one live performance. However, amidst the revealing personal information shared by Doyakonga, not everyone was quick to jump to the conclusion.

Some fans of Minase believed that her account may have genuinely been compromised, with Doyakonga becoming also a target while many regarded it as a stretch and unlikely to be true. The voice actress herself is yet to comment on the controversy and only time will tell whether she is Doyakonga or not.

On the 10th anniversary of the “No Game No Life” anime adaptation, the author of the original light novels, Yuu Kamiya, posted a heartfelt message on social media. In his message, the author of the series expressed a strong desire for a second season of the anime, which has been on hold for a long time.

“It’s the tenth anniversary of No Game No Life. Please make a second season!”, the series author commented. The author’s plea is a clear indication of his deliberate desire for another season of the series. Despite its high demand, it has been ten years since the makers produced the first season, and at this point, they have no intention of producing a sequel.

Yet, the hope is still there, and recent comebacks of other popular anime shows like “Classroom of the Elite” and “Blue Exorcist” have given fans reason to believe that No Game No Life may return in the future. Until then, fans can only hope and pray that the show will be picked up again for a second season.

To commemorate the 20th anniversary of the star voice actor in the industry, Kodansha has announced a new project titled “Soyogi Fractal”. Inspired by Kaji’s singing avatar, Soyogi Soyogi, the upcoming spinoff manga will be written by the voice actor himself with Isayama overseeing the story and draft of the manga.

Isayama had previously made it clear that he would not be working on any new series after the conclusion of Attack on Titan. However, after being personally requested by Yuki Kaji to join his new project, the author agreed to be part of it. But, Isayama will not be illustrating the upcoming spin-off manga.

As per reports, the search for an artist to work on this project is currently underway, and an audition for the same is being held on the official website. Interested artists can submit their interpretation of the final act based on Isayama’s storyboards available on the Soyogi Fractal website until April 30.

Soyogi Fractal is set to make its debut this summer in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine and Bessatsu Shonen Magazine. The project is currently designed to be a one-shot story, which will delve into the AI origin of Yuki Kaji’s character (Soyogi) and the concerns surrounding the controversial software.

The MMV highlights Gojo’s life journey and showcases all the events that took place in the life of the strongest sorcerer that ever existed. But, there’s a catch in the video which many fans took note of.

Before the video premiered on the Shonen Jump YouTube channel, the officials put a thumbnail which was the picture of a lotus. It is worth noting that the lotus was last seen in Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 236 which featured Satoru Gojo in the afterlife after he died at the hands of the King of Curses, Ryomen Sukuna.

Following this, many fans rallied to social media claiming that it was a sign that their beloved character might be brought back to life. As the lotus symbolises rebirth and enlightenment, the readers develop a theory that there is a good chance that Gojo will return to the series rather than stay dead.

The speculation has been fueled by an illustration from Jujutsu Kaisen Volume 26 where Gojo can be seen with his eyes wide open. Evidently, the depiction of Gojo seemingly awakening has further prompted the notion of his resurrection from death. However, some counterarguments oppose these theories and invalidate them.

Well, hope is there to exist and many are thrilled at the prospect of Gojo’s return but not all are rooting for his revival as they believe bringing back Gojo would disrupt the story’s dynamic. It would be interesting to see what the future holds for Jujutsu Kaisen fans as the fate of their beloved character hangs in uncertainty.
