Pro Tekken Player Says ‘Short Men Shouldn’t Have Human Rights’ In A Livestream
The world of E-sports looks very fascinating and everyone dreams to be a part of it. Some do it professionally while others just do it for fun. But, sometimes pro-gamers cross their boundaries without thinking about it for a second. And, the 29-year-old professional Tekken player, Tanukana did the same thing after she made a statement on men’s height.
On February 15th, Tanukana was interacting with her fans on a live stream. During the live stream, she started telling an incident that happened to her a while ago. In her story, she mentioned a short delivery guy who asked for her number. However, Tanukana rejected the guy.
The 29-year-old Japanese pro player didn’t end her story just yet. After chatting with her followers, she gave the reason behind her rejection and said:
He was short, probably 5’6″ tall. It must be even less than 1.65! As soon as I saw how short he was, I thought, ‘NOPE’, if he was taller and had a muscular body then there would be a chance I would give him my number.
But, Tanukana didn’t stop there and kept talking about how she dislikes short guys and why they don’t deserve to have any human rights. She added:
1.65 is small, not good, honestly, if you are under 1.70 you have no human rights, if you are a guy under 1.70 please live your life with the idea of ’I don’t have human rights’ in your mind all the time. Please search for bone lengthening surgeries on a search engine. When you reach 1.70 tall you will start to have adequate human rights.
Yes, I’m saying that. Short guys obviously shouldn’t have human rights. Know your place. I’m tough on short guys. But let me tell you something: I’m nice to fat and bald guys.
After Tanukana’s remarks on short guys, the followers started to confront her on the chat and in no time it became a big issue in the gaming industry. Fans started to criticize her for his inappropriate comment on the height of men and she came into the radar of higher organizations.
Later inspection revealed that she had spoken about similar things in the past as well. Once Tanukana said that people with A-cup sized breasts don’t have human rights. In an earlier Livestream made in 2020, she apparently told someone during the stream to “kill themselves” and that they were “the trashiest trash of society.”
However, a few hours after the live stream ended, Tanukana realised her mistake and apologized to the fans. She even released a statement on her official Twitter account in which she wrote, “I have deep remorse for this statement, which is unbecoming of a pro esports athlete and a member of society.”
But, the action was needed to be taken against her and as a result, Cyclops Athlete Gaming terminated the contract with the professional pro-gamer. Even, Red Bull took quick action against this incident and removed the Tekken Queen from their ambassador’s team.
