Voice Actors of Eren, Gojo & Zenitsu Once Performed Yaoi Together
The anime industry is run by some of the major components which can’t be overlooked when it comes to the making of a series. Voice acting is one of them, which decides the success parameter of a specific show. And, in the Japanese entertainment industry, there is an abundance of such talents.
Generally known by the term ‘seiyuu’ in Japan, voice actors are highly recognized all over the country & other regions by the anime community. And, people love their voices so much that they get lost in them. One such voice actors who’re very popular among the audience is Yuki Kaji, Yuichi Nakamura and Hiro Shimono.
These three are immensely popular among their fans because of their notable roles in well-known anime franchises. Yuki Kaji is popular for his roles of Eren Yeager (Attack On Titan), Kenma Kozume (Haikyū!!), Shoto Todoroki (My Hero Academia) and Meliodas (Seven Deadly Sins).
Meanwhile, Yuichi Nakamura is best known for his roles including Gojo Satoru (Jujutsu Kaisen), Kuro Tetsuro (Haikyū), Hawks (My Hero Academia). And, Hiro Shimono is widely popular for his role in Demon Slayer as Zenitsu Agatsuma.
But, do you know that these notable voice actors once performed “yaoi” together? Yes, that’s true. Gojo, Eren and Zenitsu; once were all involved in a series based on yaoi and performed brilliantly well. But, first of all, what yaoi is?
Yaoi, also known as Boys’ love (BL) in English translation, is a fictional media genre that features homoerotic relationships between male characters. The genre is very popular and it spans a wide range of media, including manga, anime, drama CDs, novels, and fan works.
Moving on to the topic, once all three seiyuus performed in a yaoi series titled ‘Kotoba Nante Iranai’. The series was released as a CD Drama and was recorded at the beginning of their careers. In the drama-filled romantic plot of Kotoba Nante Iranai, Yuki Kaji voiced the role of Shizuka Sahara.
Meanwhile, Yuichi Nakamura played the part of Keisuke Kazami and Hiro Shimono was featured as Shizuka’s twin brother. The series is not widely known, but the characters were portrayed beautifully at that time. Moreover, no clips from the series are uploaded anywhere and it is also very hard to find these days because of its availability in the CD format only.
Kotoba Nante Iranai is a heart-full story based on the original story by Hiroko Kitazawa. Keisuke Kazami, a college student, becomes a friend of Shizuka Sahara, a classmate who has a reputation for being beautiful. Kazami is gradually attracted as he takes care of Shizuka, who is so fragile that he cannot leave it alone.
Shizuka had her twin brother, but she had a complex with her older brother who was more enthusiastic than herself. And Kazami was so cherished that he couldn’t proceed with the relationship. One day, they were involved in a drug pollution incident that spread throughout the university and their life turns upside down.
