To Your Eternity is an ongoing manga written by Yoshitoki Oima. She is the same mangaka who created the beautiful piece of art, A Silent Voice. It began serializing in 2016 in Weekly Shonen Magazine and even won Kodansha’s Best Manga Award in the Shonen category in 2019.

Even it is not like Jujutsu Kaisen or AOT or Tokyo Revengers, but still, you will feel like it’s about your own life story after watching this show. It is difficult to read and understand about the beginning of life, then why not give it a try to this series that opens up every secret about the origin of life.

3. Innocence And Cuteness Of March

March, not a month, is a character in To Your Eternity. She is a cute little kid from a tribal area, Ninanna. She debuted in Episode 2 and from that moment she has completely taken over the show.

The only thing that comes up in my mind thinking of To Your Eternity is, March’s innocent and charming face. She is the motivation for me behind this To Your Eternity review. She is so cute that you can’t resist her presence. Thanks to the voice actor of March, Rie Hikisaka who made this character more lovable.

Her playing with dolls and acting like their moms is a moment to capture. Her dream of being a grown-up just like her big Sissy, Parona and becoming a mom sounds too sweet. As March is very talkative, so she usually does the work of others who are silent at that time.

March’s character is so appealing and honest that falling in love with her is the first thing going to happen with you. She is not even the main character, still, her impact on the audience and the storyline is great.

So, even if you are not interested in watching To Your Eternity then just watch it for this adorable girl, March because she will bring a smile to your face every time you see her.

4. Builds Up An Emotional Attachment

Expressing emotions in words is always a difficult task to do and To Your Eternity is an anime flooded with emotional scenes. There are so many moments in just a short time that binding up your tears is almost impossible.

The character sketches gives the vibes of 80s-90s Japan when biker gangs were in existence. Baggy pants, classic hairstyles, tattoos, and vintage bikes all look so cool that falling in love with this series is obvious.

After the introduction of Sano Manjiro & Ken Ryuguji in the anime, the show is looking more interesting as they add value to the main cast and storyline.

The stylish characters in this series give a solid reason to watch anime once again.

Plot

After a long time, Thorfinn comes to know about his father’s true identity. As a result, he seeks to become a true warrior like him.

But, on a bad day, Thors is killed by an assassin, Askeladd. This incident marks a deep impact on Thorfinn’s mind and he pledges to revenge on his father’s murderer. So, he begins to train himself under harsh conditions just to take on Askeladd one day.

In the anime he was given the title, ‘The Trot of Jom’ due to his ruthless behavior and unexceptional fighting skills in the battles.

His decision to choose his family over his country shows his character that whatever the man’s passion will be, he always cares about his family first.

4. Thorkell

You will hear this name at the very beginning of the anime but he is shown late in the anime. His character is very interesting. He is cheerful, joyous, and a very humorous person. The only person that will make a smile on your face will be this character.

But, when it comes to battle then don’t underestimate him. He slaughters everyone on the battlefield like a killing machine. He only knows how to fight. So, fighting him needs a little bit of courage as he doesn’t give a damn shit about his opponent.

• One thing that makes Vinland Saga special from other anime specially Seinen ones and the historic ones, is its better adaptation and quality animation. So, you should give it a try if you love awesome artwork.

Is Vinland Saga really so perfect??

His character development is indeed awesome but he is not given the amount of screentime a main character deserves.

Most of the time it felt like he is a side character who is working along with Askeladd. This kinda looks frustrating sometimes but the story demands it. Its second season will probably focus more on Thorfinn as everyone want to see him in action.

Lack of a main goal

This will sound stupid to you but it is true. Vinland Saga has all the stuff but the anime lacks the main perspective

In the starting, it looks like all are struggling to live in a peaceful place and the name given to that place is ‘Vinland’, sometimes it feels like Thorfinn’s revenge against Askeladd but in the entire anime you will not see any of them be accomplished.

As a Shonen lover you will not like it but if you are not, then enjoy it with some popcorns and cola.

When Vinland Saga season 2 will come??

It is been almost one and a half years since we have heard anything about this franchise’s second installment. What’s more disappointing, WIT Studio is not going to work on Vinland Saga anymore.

Chances of it getting another season before 2022 seems almost impossible. But if it happens then it will be great news for the fans.
